Holding Space
I want to start by holding space for the trans community. The death of Sam Nordquist is a painful reminder of the violence trans people, especially BIPOC trans folks, continue to face. As we mourn, we must also act—by learning, organizing, and amplifying trans voices.
Three ways to support the trans community now:
Support Kat Blaque, a Black trans creator who’s been making content to humanize diverse groups since 2005.
Support the Lavender Rights Project, a Black-led nonprofit focused on supporting Black gender diverse communities.
Together we show up. 💜

Building individual capacity by cultivating joy.
3 ways to cultivate joy by doing less:
Small Dose
Limit your to-do list to one task. If you do more, great. If not, no big deal!
Smedium Snack
Take a should-less day. Years ago, I heard Ellen Burstyn talk about dedicating days to only doing what she wanted to do—no obligations. When I tried this it was tough at first; my to-do list kept creeping in. But with practice, I embraced it, and the mindset shift has been life-changing.
Tall Order
Quit something that drains you. That class that isn’t clicking? Drop it. The project that’s more stress and less fun? Let it go. Quitting isn’t failure—it’s making room for what truly matters.
